A quiet voice runs in the background. I am too much. I am a failure. I will be rejected. It makes you feel like something is fundamentally wrong with you, when nothing is. Left alone, it colors every choice you make and every room you walk into.

You understand your patterns completely and still cannot seem to change them. It is maddening. All that understanding, and it never reaches the part of you that hurts. Years pass. The insight grows. The stuckness stays exactly where it was.

You believe that being harder on yourself is what keeps you growing. So you never get to rest, and kindness toward yourself feels dangerous. The harshness that was supposed to help is quietly wearing you down.

You spend real energy managing how you come across, so no one sees the parts you hide. It is exhausting, performing acceptable while feeling like a fraud underneath. You end up lonely in a crowd, known by everyone and seen by no one.

You say yes to everyone and put your own needs at the bottom of the list. You end most days depleted, with nothing left for yourself. The care you give so freely never seems to come back around to you.

From the outside you look like you have it handled, so you keep the struggle secret. Inside, the performance of "fine" is its own kind of loneliness. Shame grows in the dark, and the secret keeping feeds it.

You have plenty of spiritual language, but it stays in your head. Performing healing instead of practicing it leaves you feeling like a hypocrite. The tools are all around you, and none of them have reached the wound.

Somewhere you learned that your worth was conditional and your true self was unsafe. It feels like a personal flaw, when it was actually a lesson taught to you. Left unnamed, it passes quietly to the people you love most, including your kids.
