About the Say Yes to Abundant Living Foundation
The Say Yes to Abundant Living Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 74-2539674) based in West Jordan, Utah. We exist to help people move from shame, secrecy, and self-rejection toward truth, self-acceptance, and a life that feels like their own.
Who we are
The Foundation was founded by Mike and Christine Gifford, who together bring more than forty years of experience in recovery and personal transformation. They are the co-authors of three books: When Love Hurts, When Love Heals, and All There Is Is Love. Their work comes from lived experience, from walking through hard things and finding a way to come home to themselves, rather than from a distance.
What we do
We offer education and support for adults healing from toxic shame, including shame rooted in high-demand religious environments, addiction, and family dysfunction. Our programs begin with a free introduction, The Great Unlearning, and continue through a series of guided programs and a supportive community. The heart of our approach is the JOY framework: Love, Forgiveness, and Gratitude.

Our work is humanist and welcoming to people of every background. We draw on wisdom from recovery traditions and psychology, and we aim to help people feel seen, safe, and less alone.

We believe no one is broken. We believe people were handed stories about their own worth that were never true, and that those stories can be put down.
Our mission is to give heart-sensitive, high-functioning people a real practice for that. Not more insight. Not more pressure. A small daily practice and a community where being seen is the point, not the risk.
When one person stops relating to themselves with contempt, it does not stay inside them. It reaches their marriage, their friendships, their kids. The healing moves forward. That is the whole point. We are here to break the cycle, one rep at a time.
